RCMP in southern Alberta say one person is dead and three other are injured after a crash in Foothills County. Mounties say the crash took place on Wednesday afternoon when a sedan travelling on Highway 2 collided with an SUV heading west on 338 Avenue East. Police say the lone person in the sedan and three people in the SUV were all taken to hospital via ambulance. They say one of the passengers in the SUV died on the way to hospital. The driver of the sedan and the other occupants of the SUV, meanwhile, sustained minor injuries. The roadway was closured for a period but has since reopened. The collision remains under investigation.
