Lethbridge woman charged after allegedly selling drugs to city’s most vulnerable

A Lethbridge woman is facing charges after allegedly selling drugs to the city’s homeless.

The charges come after the search of a home in the 1800 block of 1A Avenue North on March 25, during which police seized “significant quantities” of drug paraphernalia.

“One female and one male were arrested away from the residence during a drug transaction in progress,” police said in a Wednesday news release.

Investigators seized eight grams of fentanyl, 19 grams of methamphetamine and almost $1,000 in cash from the suspects.

A 39-year-old Lethbridge woman is facing numerous drug-related charges.

She remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.

A 29-year-old Lethbridge man was charged with possession and failing to comply with release orders. Police say he pled guilty and was sentenced to 15 days in custody.
