Investigation underway into early-morning fire in Irricana

A number of residences caught fire early Saturday in Irricana, Alberta.

An investigation is underway after an early-morning residential fire in Irricana, Alta.

At around 4:50 a.m., Airdrie RCMP received a report of a fire impacting several residences at the corner of McCulloch Crescent and Madison Drive in Irricana.

Local fire services from Irricana, Rocky View, Crossfield and Airdrie responded, along with EMS and RCMP officers.

The fire was extinguished, but crews remain on scene.

No serious injuries have been reported at this time.

A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to raise funds for two families whose homes burned down.

Irricana is about 63 kilometres northeast of Calgary.
