4th Street Night Market offers something for everybody

The Fourth Street Night Market opened on May 18, 2025, for food trucks, art, home decor, live music and craft liquor in Calgary's Central Memorial Park.

There was something local for everyone Saturday night at the Fourth Street Night Market.

For those Calgarians who stayed in the city for the long weekend, here was food trucks, art, home decor, live music and craft liquor at the market in the Central Memorial Park.

It was the first of several night market taking place in Central Memorial this summer, said Jennifer Rempel, the producer of the market.

“We’re doing this five times this summer – the second Saturday of each month – and so there will be five days throughout the summer until September," Rempel said.

Night markets in Central Memorial will take place June 21, July 19, August 23 and September 20.

Rempel said the market was previously held on Elbow Drive but as it grows, it shifted this summer to Central Memorial Park.

There was also a night market held in Inglewood Friday night, with four more scheduled on the same nights as Fourth Street.

Marda Loop had one Thursday night at CSpace and is scheduled to do two more this summer, on July 18 and Sept. 26.

“These are all artisanal products so it’s all curated, it’s all home-based businesses so it’s all really super-local,” said Rempel.

In addition to offering curated crafts, foods and booze to the community, Rempel said the night market also helps by creating positive activities in Central Memorial Park.

“We’re really happy to be in this park to make sure there’s positive use happening right now,” she said.
