A middle school in northeast Calgary was placed into lockdown Monday afternoon after an assault involving bear spray. Calgary police say they were called to the area of Ted Harrison School in the community of Taradale just before 1 p.m. after receiving reports “of an assault involving bear spray.” Police say the suspects fled before police arrived and the school was placed lockdown out of an abundance of caution. That lockdown was lifted a shortly after, with police confirming there was no active threat to students inside the school. It’s unclear if anyone is hurt. Police say the search for suspects continues.
