Two people have been charged in connection with a suspicious death in southwest Calgary. At around 10:50 p.m. on July 28, police responded to the 1400 block of 38 Street S.W. for reports of a disturbance. Officers discovered an injured man who was transported to hospital where he died. The victim was identified as 23-year-old Jaden River Big Sorrel Horse. Police said it was a homicide. Annata’Ksissts’Kommaokii De’Channa Hope Smith, who also goes by Dechanna Wells, 22, was charged with manslaughter. Naatoyikakatosina TaCheah Heaven Wells, who also goes by Teacheah Wells, 23, was also charged with manslaughter. Both are scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
