Regina police have charged one man following a fight involving a knife on Thursday. Officers were called to the 900 block of Royal Street for a report of a weapons offence around 12:40 p.m., according to an update from the Regina Police Service (RPS) on Friday. When they arrived, officers determined that an altercation had take place outside of a home, where one person sustained injuries consistent with a knife. Police located a man, who was taken into custody without incident. Police also located the knife during the investigation. EMS took the victim to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, RPS said. A 34-year-old man was charged with aggravated assault. He is scheduled to appear in Regina Provincial Court on Aug. 4.
