Tim Hortons parent Restaurant Brands International reports higher Q2 profit

MIAMI — Tim Hortons parent company Restaurant Brands International Inc. reported a second-quarter profit attributable to common shareholders of US$507 million.

That’s up from US$189 million for the same quarter a year ago.

The company, which keeps its books in U.S. dollars, says the profit amounted to US$1.45 per diluted share for the quarter ended June 30, up from 57 cents US per diluted share a year earlier.

Revenue for the company, which includes Burger King, Popeyes, and Firehouse Subs, totalled US$2.5 billion, up from US$2.4 billion.

Overall comparable sales were up 3.8 per cent.

On an adjusted basis, Restaurant Brands says it earned US$1.07 per diluted share in its latest quarter, up from an adjusted profit of 94 cents US per diluted share in the second quarter of 2025.
