Major hospital repaving job planned for this weekend

A major repaving project is in the works for Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital (OSMH).

The main entrance and visitor parking lot off Dunlop Street will be closed for resurfacing Friday, June 26 at 5 a.m. until Monday, June 29 until 5 a.m.

In a press release, staff say there will be no vehicle or pedestrian access to the hospital’s main entrance.

Public access to the hospital will be available via:

• West Entrance Birthing/Dialysis units
• Outpatient entrance on Mississaga Street – patient registration will occur here
• Access to the OSMH Emergency Department from Colborne Street will not be affected.

Additional Information:

Designated Accessible Parking is available near the Outpatient and West entrances

Complimentary public parking will be available in:

• The large staff parking lot on the west side of the hospital (off Volunteer Drive)
• The Hospital and Foundation lots on the north side of Mississaga Street
