For the unofficial wrap-up to summer before the kids head back to school, Mother Nature is gifting us with picture-perfect weather all weekend long. Whether it’s a weekend at the cottage, in the backyard or at one of the many community events happening around the region, the weather is ideal with mainly sunny, warm and dry weather. Residents and visitors of Simcoe County and Muskoka can expect mostly sunny conditions for Saturday morning. Cloud cover will take over around lunchtime as the temperature climbs to a high of 24 C. With the humidity, it will feel more like 29 C. You will want to pack sunscreen and a hat for any outdoor activities you may have planned. While clouds can look deceiving, the UV index is at 7 or high. Clouds will stick around on Saturday night as fog starts to creep in overnight and the temperature drops to 12 C. The fog will dissipate on Sunday, you will see a mix of sun and cloud and a comfortable high of 24 C, feeling like 28 C with the humidity. A high UV of 7 is expected once again. For the Holiday Monday, clouds will clear out, making way for nothing but sunshine to wrap up the long weekend. You can expect a high of 25 C and the night will remain clear with a low of 12 C.
