Free flower giveaway in downtown Huntsville

The Town of Huntsville is offering residents some free zinnia flowers from its downtown site on Thurs., Oct. 16, 2025.

If you’ve been admiring the vibrant flowers in downtown Huntsville, the Town wants you to have them.

Today and tomorrow, the Town says residents can grab some free zinnia flowers from its floral displays.

According to Tina Scott-Burns, manager of parks and cemeteries, the Town has received requests for seeds and flowers, and it’s excited to share.

“It’s a great way to celebrate the end of the growing season and spread a little colour into our community,” Scott-Burns added.

The flowers are available at the parking lot on the corner of Williams Street, between the Rotary Skateboard Park and McCulley Robertson Park, but hurry - supplies are limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.

“These vibrant blooms have brightened the streets of downtown Huntsville all season long, and now they’re ready to find new homes in residents’ gardens,” the Town concluded.
