The RVH Auxiliary’s popular 50/50 Community Draw is heating up, with the November jackpot now topping $287,000. Those interested in trying their luck have until 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday to purchase tickets.

Tickets are available at various price points: $75 for 750 tickets, $50 for 300 tickets, $25 for 50 tickets, and $10 for 3 tickets.

To enter, ticket buyers must be at least 18 years old and located in Ontario at the time of purchase.

The winning ticket number will be randomly selected using a computerized random number generation system. Winners have one year from the draw date to claim their prize.

The RVH Auxiliary is a not-for-profit group dedicated to raising funds to support patient care at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH). The Auxiliary runs Café Royale and Victoria’s Gift Shop, leases retail space to vendors, and operates a lottery booth in the hospital’s food court.

Volunteers also help organize fundraising events throughout the year. Over its long history, the Auxiliary has raised millions to enhance patient services, officials state.

Currently, the Auxiliary is focusing on raising $2.5 million for a third MRI machine. The group has also recently fulfilled its pledge to support the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

The draw will take place on Thur., Nov. 27.
