Brunel Locks open for the season

The Brunel Locks in Huntsville officially unlocked their doors on Saturday ahead of another busy boating season.

The locks provide access to over 80 kilometers of boating in the Huntsville region.

The locks are available to boats of all shapes and sizes and the town encourages the public to also stop by and enjoy the view.

The May Long Weekend often marks the opening of the Brunel Locks and remains open until Thanksgiving.

The locks will be open May 17 - 19 from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and every weekend May 24 - June 29.

The locks open seven-days-a-week starting July 1 from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m..

Boaters can purchase single lock-through at the Brunel Locks with debit or credit cards only.
