A second man faces arson charges after a March house fire in Wasaga Beach. Huronia West Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and local firefighters were called to a structure fire on March 22 at around 3:20 a.m. The house at 936 Mosely Street, near 21st Street North in Wasaga Beach was destroyed and considered a total loss, estimated at $150,000. On July 9, a 38-year-old man from Markham, was arrested and charged with arson. Arson charges laid in Wasaga Beach house fire This is in addition to the earlier arrest of a 50-year-old man from Markham who was also arrested and charged with arson in June. The 38-year-old is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood, Ontario on August 25. Suspicious fire under investigation in Wasaga Beach The investigation remains ongoing.
