50 years of playing the lottery finally paid off for Barrie woman

Margaret Glass has been playing the lottery with Ontario Lottery and Gaming (OLG) since the days of Wintario.

The mother and grandmother is delighted to share the story of her first big win.

As regular as clockwork, Glass buys her Instant Bingo Doubler tickets every Saturday. That day she bought three tickets to play.

Glass uncovered a box pattern and suddenly realized she’d won a $50,000 prize.

“I was stunned! My husband was sitting with me at the time, and when I told him about the win, he thought I was kidding around with him,” Glass said.

Glass plans to share her windfall with her children and save for the future.

“You never imagine winning a prize like this. Being a winner feels very good and brings a lot of joy,” she said.
