No injuries following vehicle fire on Route 1 in Tryon, P.E.I.

A portion of Route 1 in Tryon, P.E.I., was temporarily shut down Saturday evening due to a vehicle fire.

RCMP said officers responded to the incident around 6:40 p.m. Route 1 was then closed in both directions while emergency crews attended the scene.

Detours were set up while crews worked to put out the fire.

Police said there were no injuries reported.

Route 1 reopened to all traffic around 8:10 p.m.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
