A vehicle crashed through the front of Cambridge Suites Hotel in downtown Halifax on Thursday afternoon. Const. Martin Cromwell with the Halifax Regional Police said officers responded to the reported single-vehicle accident around 12:55 p.m. in the 1500 block of Brunswick Street. They learned the driver’s foot allegedly slipped, sending the vehicle into the building. A woman who was inside the hotel suffered a cut to her head from glass during the incident and the driver sustained minor bruises and bumps, according to Cromwell. “I would consider this a very unfortunate accident for everyone, but we’re thankful that everyone is OK,” Cromwell said. “We are hoping that the woman with the cut to her head recovers quickly. “The driver was tested by our officers on scene with regular breath demand and they blew a zero. The driver was not impaired in any way shape or form and there are no summery offence tickets that are looking to be issued.” The scene is now clear. -With files from CTV News Atlantic’s Emma Convey For more Nova Scotia news, visit our dedicated provincial page
