Nova Scotia RCMP seeks public’s help locating man wanted on firearms charges

Police in Nova Scotia’s Colchester County are searching for a man wanted on a province-wide arrest warrant.

Dale Justin Phillip Hartling, 36, is facing charges of:

• possession of firearm while prohibited
• possession of firearm knowing it is prohibited
• possession of property obtained by crime

The Nova Scotia RCMP says more charges are pending.

Police describe Hartling as six feet tall and 185 pounds, with greying dark brown hair and grey eyes.

The RCMP has located a Jeep Gladiator along Highway 336, near the community of Dean, that police believe Hartling may have been driving.

Police say they have made several attempts to locate Hartling and are asking anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact Colchester County District RCMP at 902-893-6820, local police, or Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
