Man, 21, dead in single-vehicle crash near Fall River, N.S.: RCMP

A New Brunswick man is dead following a single-vehicle collision near Fall River, N.S.

The crash happened on Friday around 3 p.m. on Highway 118. RCMP said a driver in a Hyundai Accent was travelling south when they went off the road and into the median of the highway.

Several emergency crews responded, including EHS and fire services.

The driver, a 21-year-old man from Hanwell, N.B., was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the only person in the car at the time.

Police said a collision reconstructionist attended the scene as part of the investigation.

The highway was shut down at the time with traffic was backed up for several hours. The road has since reopened.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
