Halifax police say they continue to search for a man who has not been heard from in six years. Ryan James Jessop, 32, was last seen in the Dartmouth Crossing area of Dartmouth, N.S., on Sept. 27, 2020. Police say he has not been in contact with his family since that month, which is out of character for him. He was also reportedly active on various social media platforms before his disappearance. Jessop is described as being five-foot-10 and 175 pounds with dark brown hair, green eyes with various tattoos. He was last seen wearing a blue tracksuit and a black puffy Guess vest with white lettering on it. Jessop’s case is part of the Nova Scotia Department of Justice Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program. The program offers cash rewards of up to $150,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction for certain major unsolved crimes. Investigators are asking anyone with information on Jessop’s disappearance to call police at 902-490-5020 or the rewards program at 1-888-710-9090.
