There are only three months until Christmas. So, in the time-honoured tradition of the season, Charles Dickens’ timeless fable, A Christmas Carol will be read at the Orillia Opera House, December 18. The performance, featuring Colin Mochrie, is in aid of the Green Haven Shelter for Women, and the children they support across the Orillia area. Funds raised through community events like A Christmas Carol help Green Haven provide safe emergency shelter, crisis support, outreach, systems navigation, and other essential services to women and children experiencing gender-based violence.
