Here are the Montreal road closures, including for this weekend’s UCI Road World Championships

Expect major road closures in the Greater Montreal area this weekend for the UCI Road World Championships.

Road users are being encouraged to plan their trips in advance or use public and active transit when possible.

UCI Road World Championships

The 2026 UCI Road World Championships in Montreal are expected to result in significant changes to traffic and parking allowances.

The REM and other public transit options are the best ways to get to the competition venues.

Friday at 10 p.m. to Sunday at 1 p.m.

• R-112 West (de Périgny Boulevard, Chambly Road), partial closure of two of three lanes between the end of the Yule Bridge in Chambly and Bellerive Road in Carignan.

Saturday and Sunday, between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Between Brossard and Montreal:

• The Samuel De Champlain Bridge will be completely closed to northbound traffic, as will the A-15 North in Montreal between the bridge and Atwater Avenue.
• The bridge’s multi-use path will be closed during the same hours.

Montreal:

• The R-136 East (Ville-Marie), Exit 2 (Atwater Avenue) will be closed.

Brossard:

• The A-15 North service road (Marie-Victorin Boulevard East) is completely closed between Rome Boulevard and the A-10.
• Rome Boulevard heading north is completely closed between Leduc Boulevard and Marie-Victorin East Boulevard.

Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu:

• R-104 (Saint-Luc Boulevard) in both directions, between Saint-André Road and des Pins Avenue, traffic is travelling in the opposite direction on the eastbound lanes.

On Saturday and Sunday, between 6 a.m. and 12 p.m.

• The A-30 East, Exit 69 (Grande-Allée) in Brossard is closed.

Saturday, between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m.

• R-112 (Chambly Road, de Périgny Boulevard) in both directions, between Bellerive Road in Carignan and Fréchette Boulevard in Chambly, traffic will be flowing in the opposite direction on the westbound lane.

Saturday and Sunday, between 7:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.

• The A-10 East, Exit 22 (A-35, Chambly, Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu) in Carignan will be closed.
• Highway A-35 in both directions in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Exit 50 (Chemin Saint-André) will be closed.

Saturday and Sunday, between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m.

• The A-35 North, Exit 55-E (A-10 East, Sherbrooke) in Carignan is closed.

Saturday and Sunday, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

• On the A-15 North, Exit 53 (A-10, Samuel-De Champlain Bridge, Montreal, Sherbrooke) in Brossard will be closed.
• At Exit 75 of the R-132 West, the on-ramp to A-15 North and the Samuel-De Champlain Bridge will be closed.

Sunday, between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m.

• R-112 (Chambly Road, de Périgny Boulevard) in both directions, between Bellerive Road in Carignan and the Yule Bridge over the Richelieu River, traffic will be flowing in the opposite direction on the westbound lanes.
• R-112 West, complete closure between R-133 (des Patriotes Road) in Richelieu and R-227 (du Ruisseau Saint-Louis Road) in Marieville.
• Closure of the Yule Bridge in both directions between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.
• Local traffic is permitted on R-112 West, between R-227 in Marieville and du Cordon Road in Richelieu.

Route 158 / Route Sir-Wilfrid-Laurier

Friday at 9 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m.

• In Mirabel, on R-158 (Sir Wilfrid Laurier Road), complete closure in both directions between the A-15 (Laurentian Highway) and Saint-Simon Road.

Victoria Bridge

• Due to ongoing construction on Bridge Street for an indefinite period, the Victoria Bridge will remain configured with one lane in each direction at all times until Bridge Street reopens fully.

A-13 / A-520 Interchange

• Nighttime closures will be in effect in Montreal on A-13 (Chomedey), at the intersection with A-520 (Côte-de-Liesse), from Sept. 28 to Nov. 2, 2026.
• These closures are necessary to continue reconstruction work on the A-520 overpass above the A-13.
• Detours will be marked with temporary signage.

A-15 South service road (Brossard)

• The A-15 South service road in Brossard will be completely closed at night from Sept. 28 to Oct. 7, 2026.
• These closures are necessary as part of paving work on the A-15 South, which includes westbound Marie-Victorin Boulevard between the Samuel-De Champlain Bridge area and Tessier Street.
