Three people have died following a house fire early Saturday morning in Lower Sackville, N.S. According to RCMP, emergency crews responded to the fire on Manor Drive just before 4 a.m. Police said officers tried to enter the home when they arrived on scene but conditions were too intense due to smoke. When crews with Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency (HRFE) arrived, they attacked the fire and were able to get inside. Police said firefighters removed three adults from the home and then lifesaving measures were attempted by both HRFE and EHS. All three adults, a 38-year-old woman, 43-year-old man and 73-year-old woman, died from their injuries. Investigators with the Office of the Fire Marshal and the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service attended the scene. Police said the investigation is ongoing.
