Area 506 has unveiled its lineup for its annual waterfront festival in Saint John.

AREA 506 has announced its lineup for its annual waterfront festival in Saint John, N.B.

Taking place from July 30 to Aug. 2, the festival will be held in the space adjoining the AREA 506 Waterfront Container Village.

Headlining the event will be Soul Asylum, Marianas Trench, The Glorious Sons and The Dead South.

The Area 506 Festival will feature a selection of New Brunswick artists, including The Martin Boys, Kylie Fox, Zack Ingles, Grand Theft Bus, La Patente, Constant Greetings, Nate and the Busy Boys, Dad Patrol and Waylon Napadogan.

“We are thrilled to be bringing incredible live music to the Saint John waterfront again this summer,” says Ray Gracewood, AREA 506 founder and committee chair, in a news release. “And the addition of the fourth day is really a testament to the support the festival receives from this community. The team has been working hard to put together another exciting lineup for year number eleven.”

The lineup also includes Canadian acts like Crash Test Dummies, Kathleen Edwards, Absolute Losers, Beauts, Valley, Wolf Parade, The Dirty Nil and Customer Service and international artists Caged Animals, Marcy Playground and Wheatus.

In addition to live music, the festival will also include family-friendly experiences, a vendor market and food trucks.

Shows will be open to all ages, with free admission for those 12 years of age and under when accompanied by an adult. Festival passes are on sale at area506.ca and single-day tickets will be available beginning April 1.
