Winnipeg brothers to compete on ‘Amazing Race Canada’

A pair of Manitoba brothers will be among 10 teams competing for prizes in the upcoming season of “The Amazing Race Canada.”

Winnipeg’s Sacha and Sébastien Régnier have been named as cast members for the 12th season of the race, which premieres on July 7.

According to their racer bios, Sacha works as a musician and a custom upholsterer, while Sébastien is a realtor and a member of Team Canada’s skeleton team attempting to qualify for the 2030 Winter Olympics.

They are the only team from Manitoba competing this year.

Racers from Winnipeg have fared well in previous seasons. Tim Hague Sr. and Tim Hague Jr. won the inaugural season of the race, while Catherine Wreford won Season 8 with her race partner Craig Ramsay of Windsor, Ont.

The winning team receives $250,000 along with OneKeyCash from Expedia to plan a trip around the world.

“The Amazing Race Canada” is hosted by Jon Montgomery and airs on CTV and the next day on Crave.
