Curler Val Sweeting has found a new team. B.C. skip Kayla MacMillian announced Sunday that Sweeting will be joining her rink as the new third. “Val brings a level of elite experience that is truly second to none,” the post on social media reads. Sweeting recently parted ways with Kerri Einarson’s rink after eight years, where she played third. She won five Scotties Tournament of Hearts with Einarson’s rink, including this year’s, and finished with a silver medal at this year’s World Women’s Curling Championship. MacMillan’s rink, which is ranked seventh in Canada, includes Lindsay Dube at second and Lauren Lenentine as lead. The team recently parted ways with third Brittany Tran and alternate Sarah Loken.
