Students at two universities pass universal transit plans

Two Winnipeg universities are now on board for a universal bus pass plan.

Referendum results are in from the University of Manitoba, where 53 per cent of students in favour of U-Pass.

A similar referendum earlier this week saw U of W students vote for the plan.

Under the plan, all students would pay an extra $260 in fees for unlimited access to public transit during the fall and winter semesters.
