Manitobans will soon have a new way to show their support for provincial parks. Premier Wab Kinew revealed on social media on Friday that Manitobans have voted on a new loon licence plate as the winning design for a provincial parks-themed specialty plate. The teal plate, which features the line “Explore Manitoba Parks,” is also available in French. Manitobans were able to vote on five possible designs including canoes, a campsite, night sky and a map. A portion of the proceeds from every plate sold go to the Manitoba Provincial Park Endowment Fund. The plates will be available sometime in 2027.
