Manitoba schools closed as heavy snowfall hits the province

As Manitobans brace for heavy snowfall and risky driving conditions, some school divisions have opted to cancel classes on Wednesday.

The following schools are closed and buses are cancelled for Feb. 18, 2026:

• Prairie Rose School Division – All schools are closed.
• Red River Valley School Division – All schools are closed.
• Garden Valley School Division – All schools are closed.
• Rolling River School Division – Schools closed.
• Western School Division – All schools closed.
• Division scolaire franco-manitobaine – Schools are closed for St-Lazare, Aurèle-Lemoine, Gilbert-Rosset and École régionale Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes. Buses are cancelled for La Source, Jours de Plaine, Saint-Jean Baptiste and Réal-Bérard.
• Border Land School Division – All schools are closed.
• Prairie Spirit School Division – Schools are closed and buses are cancelled.
• Brandon School Division – Buses are not running outside the city. Alexander, O’Kelly and Spring Valley schools are closed. All other schools are open. Attendance is at parental discretion where travel is required.
