Manitoba RCMP is investigating after a man died from an apparent drowning in Pukatawagan. RCMP officers were called to the nursing station in the community around 7:45 p.m. on June 20 for reports of a possible drowning on the lake. Officers were told a 51-year-old man was in a canoe race when he fell into the water. RCMP said the man was wearing a life jacket when he fell in and that he was quickly pulled out of the water and taken to the nursing station. He was later pronounced dead. RCMP continue to investigate the incident.
