The body of an Alberta man who went missing in Manitoba last month has been found, RCMP confirmed on Wednesday. James Redmond, 60, was reported missing in Kelsey, Man., on Aug. 3. RCMP said he was known to go fishing from the shore of the Nelson River. A search of the shoreline near Redmond’s cabin found his gear approximately 200 metres upstream from the dam at Kelsey Generating Station, but no sign of Redmond. On Sept. 1, crews returned to Kelsey Dam to search for Redmond. During the search, a body was found near the shore. The body was taken to Winnipeg for an autopsy, which confirmed the deceased to be James Redmond. RCMP said the death is not considered suspicious.
