Essex County OPP officers have charged two people with trafficking cocaine after executing search warrants in Leamington. On Thursday at approximately 4:26 a.m., police executed the search warrants at a residence on Talbot St. W. and Orange Street. Members of the Essex County Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Lambton County Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), patrol officers, Canine Unit Vinny and his handler, and Regional Operational Analyst were all part of the operation. As a result of the warrants, two individuals were taken into custody without incident. A 39-year-old Leamington resident was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences: A 22-year-old Leamington resident was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences: The estimated value of items seized is over $13,000. The 39-year-old was held for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor. The 22-year-old is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on Dec. 4, 2026, to answer to the charges.
