Suspect arrested after ‘violent’ robbery of woman on bicycle: WPS

Windsor police have arrested a second suspect after a violent robbery downtown.

Shortly after 8 a.m. on Friday, patrol officers located and arrested Patrick Gregory McFadden in the 300 block of Glengarry Ave.

He is charged with robbery, assault with a weapon, and disobeying a lawful order of court

At 2 p.m. on June 16, 2026, officers responded to the area of Ouellette Avenue and Tuscarora Street after receiving reports of a robbery. Officers say they learned that a woman was riding her bicycle when she was confronted by two male suspects known to her. One suspect allegedly knocked her off her bicycle and yelled, “get her.”

As the victim attempted to run away, police say she was struck in the head with a metal water bottle. Police say the suspects then stole cash and an MP3 player before fleeing the area.

The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers quickly identified the suspects. A short time later, officers located and arrested one suspect in the 800 block of Ouellette Avenue.

Michael Jordan Coates, 36, has been charged with robbery with violence.
