A police standoff in Norfolk County has ended with over 20 charges for one person. OPP were called to a Main Street address in Port Dover around 3:45 p.m. Saturday for reports of a barricaded individual. According to police, their investigation determined a couple was involved in an altercation, during which one assaulted the other, causing minor injuries. Police say the same person then pointed a gun at the second person. Police brought the suspect into custody around 9 p.m. During the investigation, officers also learned of many previous incidents involving the same couple, including assaults, property damage, and the use of a firearm, occurring over an extended period. As a result, a 45-year-old resident of Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offences: The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
