A six-hour standoff on Lincoln Road on Tuesday has led to two people arrested. Just before 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, police were called with a report of a breach of probation at a home in the 2300 block of Lincoln Road. Officers said a suspect, a 51-year-old man, violated bail conditions by talking with a victim he was not allowed to contact. When police arrived on scene, the man allegedly barricaded himself in a shed, refusing to surrender. The Windsor Police Service said a second man, a 56-year-old, was inside the man house. He was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant for two counts of mischief over $5,000 and six counts of mischief under $5,000. The WPS said he barricaded himself inside, refusing to come out. “Attempts to negotiate with the suspects into peaceful surrender were unsuccessful. Around 5:30 p.m., a Feeney warrant was executed, allowing the officers to go into the home and shed,” a news release read. Both suspects were arrested without further incident. The 51-year-old man has been charged with failure to comply with a probation order. In October 2023, the man was wanted on several offences, including possession of a prohibited weapon, operation of a motor vehicle while impaired, dangerous operation, and three counts of uttering threats to cause death, in addition to the condition of no contact with the victim involved in the case.
