Pedestrian charged after striking vehicle on Banwell Road

Windsor police have charged a pedestrian after striking a vehicle on Banwell Road.

Banwell Road was closed in both directions between Tecumseh Road and the Wildwood Road roundabout, north of EC Row Expressway, around 11 p.m. The road has since been reopened.

Police say the incident involved a pedestrian running into traffic and striking the passenger side of a vehicle.

The condition of the pedestrian is unknown.

The pedestrian was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with failure to use a crosswalk.
