Oil spill closes portion of Walker Road near Highway 3

Cleanup is now finished and the road is opened after an oil spill at Highway 3 and Walker Road.

Police said it happened around 1:45 p.m. on Friday.

OPP said it was a “substantial amount” of hydraulic fluid.

One lane of traffic was closed on northbound Walker, north of Highway 3 by Tecumseh Fire. It reopened around 5:30 p.m. Friday.

Police said both the Ministry of Transportation and spill control are aware and responding.
