The average price of gas in Barrie on Thursday is 194.9 cents per litre according to Gas Wizard. However gas price experts are urging residents to wait until Friday to fill up their tanks. In a social media post on Wednesday evening, Dan McTeague, President of Canadians for Affordable Energy, said gas prices across the country were set to rise four cents a litre on Thursday. For diesel, the price will go up by eight cents a litre. Relief however is on the way, according to McTeague, gas prices will drop six cents on Friday and diesel prices will decrease eight cents as well.
