Masked gunman sought after shots fired at South Windsor home

Police say a suspect was seen on surveillance video arriving in a black SUV at a residence in the 2500 block of Academy Drive.

Windsor police say they are looking for a masked gunman who fired shots into a South Windsor home in what appears to be a targeted attack.

Shortly after 6 a.m. on Sunday, a suspect was seen on surveillance video arriving in a black SUV at a residence in the 2500 block of Academy Drive.

The suspect exited the vehicle, approached the house, and then returned to the SUV to retrieve a firearm.

Police say he fired several rounds into the home before getting back into the vehicle and fleeing south on Academy Drive toward E.C. Row Avenue.

No physical injuries were reported as a result of the incident. Investigators believe the home was deliberately targeted.

The Windsor Police Major Crimes Unit urge residents and businesses in the area to review any surveillance or dashcam footage recorded between 5:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. on Nov. 2 for potential evidence.
