A nearly three-week road closure is now in place in Winnipeg’s Kildonan area. According to the City of Winnipeg, the temporary closure at Main Street near Chief Peguis Trail will be in place from Sept. 13 at noon until Oct. 2 at 5 p.m. The closures include the southbound curb lane on Main Street from Chief Peguis Trail to Seaforth Avenue; the westbound curb lane on Chief Peguis Trail, which is one of two westbound turning lanes from Chief Peguis Trail to southbound Main Street; and the west sidewalk on Main Street between Chief Peguis Trail and Seaforth Avenue. The city notes southbound traffic will also be reduced to one lane. Drivers are advised to plan ahead, use alternate routes and expect delays.
