Kingsville man fined for illegal deer hunting practices

The Ontario government says it’s safeguarding the public against unsafe and illegal deer hunting practices

This after a Kingsville man was found guilty of hunting deer without a licence, hunting at night, possessing an non-encased crossbow at night, trespassing in possession of a crossbow, and trespassing for the purpose of deer hunting.

His crossbow was forfeited to the Crown and he was fined $1,300.

The court heard that in November 2023, concerns were raised regarding and individual potentially illegally deer hunting within the Town of Kingsville.

A conservation officer located the suspect committing multiple deer hunting violations.
