Flurries expected to continue overnight and into Saturday

Windsor-Essex will see flurries carry on throughout Friday night and into Saturday as the weekend kicks off.

A cold Friday saw below seasonal temperatures, according to CTV Windsor meteorologist Gary Archibald. The high reached around -6 C with the low falling to -13 C overnight.

“The heaviest snow bands are down,” said Archibald.

“Some more flurries are likely for a breezy, if not windy day on Saturday. Temperatures will climb to about 0 or -1 C for daytime highs between Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent.”

Saturday: A few flurries ending in the morning, then cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of flurries. Wind southwest 20 km/h gusting to 40 km/h. High -1 C. Wind chill -17C in the morning and -7 C in the afternoon.

Saturday night: Mainly cloudy. A few flurries beginning in the evening. Wind southwest 20 km/h gusting to 40 km/h becoming light overnight. Low -5 C, wind chill nearing -11 C.

Sunday: A mix of sun and cloud. High -2 C.

Sunday night: Clear. Low -6 C.
