Lasalle police and Town of LaSalle officials are issuing a reminder about riding e-scooters safely on trails in the parks.

Police say if you’re using an e-scooter, remember to follow these rules set by the pilot program:

• Must be 16 years or older
• Stay standing while riding
• Helmet required if under 18Must have two wheels and working brakes
• Equipped with a horn or bell

Lights required:

• White light on the front
• Red light on the back
• Reflective material on the sides
