Canada Post office in Downtown Windsor relocating soon

The Canada Post office in downtown Windsor is set to move to a new location not too far away.

Customers with a P.O. Box will have the option of keeping their current postal box mailing address, changing their P.O. Box to another post office and changing their mailing address, or closing their P.O. Box and use their free method of mail delivery.

Canada Post officials said they are moving to a new location better suited for retail needs because the current Ouellette Avenue building no longer meets their operational requirements.

According to signs posted at the current location at the corner of Park Avenue West and Ouellette Avenue, the new location at 176 University Avenue West inside the Metropolitan Building is set to open on Mar. 11, 2024.

Canada Post said the new location will be "upgraded" and "modernized."
