An investigation is underway after a religious site in Innisfil was vandalized, with police now asking for help identifying the person responsible. It happened on the morning of April 10, at a property near Innisfil Beach Road and Williard Avenue. Around 10:45 a.m., officers say a man arrived at the site and used spray paint to deface the building. Police were later called in after the damage was reported. Investigators have reviewed surveillance footage and released images of the suspect. He is described as a white man, 50 to 60 years old, with a grey beard. In the video obtained by police, he was wearing a black baseball hat, a grey jacket with Canadian and American flag patches on the chest, black pants and brown boots. Officers say he was driving a black Volkswagen Beetle with silver rims and a rear spoiler at the time. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact South Simcoe Police.
