16 good-paying jobs will be created in Windsor, thanks to an investment of over $1.6 million by Hawk Plastics in an effort to boost local manufacturing. In response, the Ontario government is giving Hawk Plastics $254,446 through the Southwestern Ontario Development Fund. “Our government is committed to supporting strategic investments that strengthen regional businesses, protect Ontario jobs, and build a more resilient economy,” said Windsor-Tecumseh MPP Andrew Dowie. “This investment by Hawk Plastics is a vote of confidence in our region’s manufacturing future, helping to spur innovation, expand operations, and create more good-paying jobs for local workers and their families.” The investment to Hawk Plastics from Ontario will go towards installing a 1,100-tonne injection moulding press and making infrastructure upgrades. “This funding represents much more than a financial investment – it is an investment in people, innovation, and the future of manufacturing in Ontario,” said Michael Semande, director of operations with Hawk Plastics. “It will help us strengthen our operations, invest in new technologies, and most importantly, create well-paying jobs right here in our community.”
