Mounties in Kamloops, B.C., say a woman was struck and killed by a vehicle on Highway 1 on Friday afternoon. Kamloops RCMP say they were called to a stretch of the highway near Pacific Way just after 2 p.m. with reports of a collision involving a pedestrian. The woman did not survive the incident, police say. The driver involved in the crash remained at the scene, and police say an investigation is ongoing. Kamloops RCMP add that traffic heading toward Merritt is being diverted to an off-ramp ahead before the area where the woman was struck, and later back onto Highway 1.
