More than a year after a motorcyclist was killed in a crash near Quesnel, B.C., a man has been charged with three offences—including impaired driving causing death. On June 24, 2025, officers were called to Highway 97 near Beaver Creek Road for reports that a Kenworth semi truck had collided with a Harley Davidson motorcycle, the RCMP said in a statement last year. “The man riding the motorcycle was killed and the tractor-trailer driver was arrested for impaired driving,” the statement said. On Thursday, the BCHP announced charges had been approved against the man who was allegedly driving the truck. Amninder Singh Sran, has been charged with dangerous operation of a conveyance causing death, impaired operation of a conveyance causing death, and operation of a conveyance with a blood alcohol content over 80 mg/mL causing death. He is set to appear in court in Quesnel on Aug. 18.
