Richmond’s Moray Bridge reopens after malfunction

A swing bridge that connects Sea Island, where Vancouver International Airport is located, to the rest of Richmond was closed to traffic and pedestrians Monday afternoon due to a “malfunction with the arm.”

In a brief statement, the Richmond RCMP said the Moray Bridge closure was causing “significant backup and delays.”

Just after 3:30 p.m., Mounties said the malfunction had been resolved and the bridge was back open “without further issue.”
