Part of Stanley Park Seawall to close for repairs this week

A stretch of the Stanley Park Seawall in downtown Vancouver will be closed for the week, the park board announced Saturday.

The section between Ferguson Point and Prospect Point will be closed between late Monday morning early Friday morning.

The shutdown is necessary so crews can repair parts of the path damaged by storms last month, according to the park board.

Visitors will be able to access Third Beach via the parking lot during the closure. Detours will be in effect.
